As I write this tonight, it has been 13 weeks and 2 days since we heard that Hannah Grace's heart was no longer beating. It was and is the most painful experience in all of our lives. It has been difficult to add photos since this happened, because it just seems difficult at times to think of us being in the world without Hannah. We had all loved her and wanted her so much. We had all been so looking forward to Wayne and Clare's sweet daughter arriving. With two such wonderful parents, we knew we were going to get a beautiful baby. And, although the circumstances of meeting her were full of emotions that were not what we planned, holding Hannah Grace in my arms was one of the greatest blessings in my life. She was just perfectly formed and looked so peaceful. She had the most beautiful lips, the tiniest nose and perfect fingers and toes. Although our time with her was far too short, we will always love her and we think about her every day. We love you Hannah Grace...
Lizzie's letter to Hannah is above showing a picture of all of us with Hannah. Hannah's memory box is below. Each of Hannah's cousins gave Hannah a gift of their favorite childhood keepsake. Annalise gave Puff the Magic Dragon, Sophie gave some of her baby blanket and Lizzie gave her a little mermaid.
Sophie wrote by hand and Annalise typed.
