Todd runs half marathon in the Outer Banks

Above, Lizzie plays on the dock at the back of Paula and Jay's house.  Todd ran a half marathon on Sunday in the Outer Banks.  I dropped him off at the start of the race, and went back to the house to wake Lizzie.

Lizzie woke up and was happy to go and see her dad...

... but first she wants to read a book in bed while I took my shower...

She chased after Todd when she saw him cross the finish line...

Look for Lizzie climbing the tree below!

Lizzie's new bike!

We went to Target to buy Lizzie some new sandals as it's been in the 90's this week.  We left with a new bike and helmet for her!!

Boston April 5 - 8th

In the hotel above, and taking the T to Boston University.

We got stuck in a station for a couple of minutes and these two were playing the guitar and the fiddle - the music was great!

The Boston University campus is along the Charles River.  Here are Sophie and Lizzie standing among several of the University buildings.  Todd and Annalise were in a class in the University.  Todd said the parents took over asking the questions in the classes!

Lizzie liked seeing a police officer in Boston!

We found Boston University's pub.  They have a Knights Challenge where you have to try and drink all 50 beers they have on tap in a year.  You can only drink two a week.  If you complete the task, you get officially knighted!

Below is a picture of the inside of "The Castle".  Annalise spent quite a lot of time talking to the Director of the Program, Charles Delheim and the Associate Director of the program.  She had them in stitches with her sarcastic sense of humour!!

Lizzie doing a great impression of Samuel Adams.

Here we are at Durgan Park.  The waiters and waitresses have a reputation for being a bit snarky, but we thought our waitress (Barbara) was amazing and the Shepherd's Pie was DEEEEELICIOUS!

Of course, the had to order an enormous dessert!!

I tried to persuade Annalise that this t-shirt was meant for her to remind her what she's supposed to do when I talk to her, but she wasn't buying it, literally or metaphorically!!!

Heading to get our car.  Lizzie and I had fun going up and down the escalators a few times!

They had charging stations for electric cars all over Boston.

When we got back to our hotel, we saw a lady walking a Cavelier that looked like our Scooby!

Of course, Lizzie had to swim!

Driving down Yawkey Way outside Fenway Park.

We stopped to watch the one man band.

Walking through Boston Common.

We saw a wedding on Boston Common and they asked me if I would take group photos for them, which I happily dad.  He was French and she was Polish!

We went to see the Make Way for Ducklings statues.  Someone had put Easter bonnets on them.  Lizzie wanted to know why they all had bonnets when some of them were boys!

We saw a Westie like Wayne and Clare's!

An early 16th birthday cake for Sophie at Grandpa Chuck's with Faye there too.
